Description

Molly and Bram are taking a trip to London: what could possibly go wrong!? Best friends Molly Malone, fishmonger and best sneak-thief in Dublin, and Bram Stoker (aspiring writer) are headed to London with Bram's parents, to collect his brother Thornley from his London boarding school. When they arrive, they discover that Charles Dickens (who Molly & Bram have met and consider a pal) has been kidnapped. The police, the public and the public's dog are all out looking for him – and our heroes resolve to find the great author. They visit some London landmarks, meet a foul-mouthed fowl in Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese (a tavern where Dickens used to write), fall foul themselves of pre-teen street gangs, and meet the London branch of the Worshipful Company of Fishmongers while on the trail. It turns out that poor Dickens has been kidnapped by the wife of a duke to make him write a happier ending for The Old Curiosity Shop in which Little Nell doesn't die. She and her henchmen will their comeuppance by sinking into the Thames’ sludge like Bill Sykes at the end of Oliver Twist, only to be saved from a fate worse than muddy custard by Molly & Bram.
