Cookies
Cookies are tiny text files stored on your computer when you visit certain web pages. At Dubraybooks.ie we use cookies to keep track of what you have in your basket, and to remember you when you return to our site. Please note that cookies can't harm your computer. We don't store personally identifiable information such as credit card details in cookies we create, but we do use encrypted information gathered from them to help improve your experience of the site.
There are two types of cookies:
Session cookies - these are temporary and are erased when you close your browser at the end of your surfing session. The next time you visit the site it will not recognise you and will treat you as a completely new visitor as there is nothing in your browser to let the site know that you have visited before.
Persistent cookies - these remain on your hard drive until you erase them or they expire. How long a cookie remains on your browser depends on how long the website has programmed the cookie to last, i.e. the duration period.
For further information about what cookies are, we recommend you visit www.aboutcookies.org for more detailed guidance.
How to Manage your Cookie Preferences
When you first visited this website, we asked you to provide us with your Cookie preferences. You can change these preferences at any time by simply clicking on the blue and white shield button on the bottom left of every page or simply clicking on the following button:
Email Tracking
Some emails that we send you have no tracking in at all e.g. service emails with invoices attached. Other emails we send we put in tracking so that we can tell how much traffic those emails send to our site – e.g. our monthly Loyalty Card newsletter. Some emails we can track, at an individual level, whether the user has opened and clicked on the email. We rarely use the latter information at a personal level, rather we use it to understand open and click rates on our emails to try and improve them. If you want to be sure that none of your email activity is tracked then you should opt out of Dubraybooks.ie emails which you can do via the ‘Unsubscribe’ link in the footer of every promotional email we send.
